Today's prediction on closest approach (CA) from ESA's Flight Dynamics team:
- Time of closest approach: 15:44:56 UTC (17:44:56 CEST) spacecraft event time --> add 25:21 min:sec to get 18:10:17 CEST ground event time
- Distance for closest approach: 3162 km from Lutetia

Really looking forward to this now. Have any more approach images been taken, any hints of any moons as yet???
What will the best resolution be?? I calculate approx 95 metres per pixel in the Narrow Angle Camera.
21 Lutetia will be the first large asteroid seen up close & by far the largest seen to date.
DAWN arrives at 4 Vesta next July, but the 21 Lutetia imagery & data will continue to be of immense scientific importance, as do the Galileo 951 Gaspra & 243 Ida encounters still do, etc.
