Jules Verne ATV online tracker gadget

We’ve come across a cool ATV online tracker gadget which we really want to share with you. Click through for Isana Kashiwai's GoogleSatTrack which uses Google Maps.

Not only is it exciting to get a visualisation of where Jules Verne is flying right now, but you also get an idea of how fast it's whizzing round the planet up there. And, what's different about this tracker… on the same screen you can see the International Space Station chasing behind ATV.

Stunning video of ATV & ISS in pre-dawn sky

We received a mail yesterday from Till Credner, at AlltheSky.com, who was up early on 19 March and captured some stunning images of ATV travelling in orbit across the pre-dawn sky followed a few minutes later by - what else? - the ISS (with the US Space Shuttle Endeavour docked). He then combined his images into a very cool animation, which he's kindly allowed us to re-post (thanks, Till!). Access more details and the full video after the jump... -- Daniel
